Lithuania has the most dog lovers, a study finds.
Research by Pet Insurance Deals looked into the countries with the most dogs per 100,000 people, and it found that Lithuania had 30,034.
Hungary came in second place with 29,069, followed by Portugal (26,893), Romania (22,212), Poland (21,237) and the Czech Republic (20,737).
Crossing over the Atlantic Ocean, the United States ranked seventh with 20,128.
And in eighth spot was Argentina (20,065).
Back in mainland Europe, Spain came in ninth, with 19,420, followed by Croatia with 19,113.
And coming 11th in the world for the number of dogs per head was the United Kingdom (18,260).
