Rayvanny shares snippets of his collabo with the late Oliver Mtukudzi

Rayvanny had worked with Oliver Mtukudzi prior to his death.

Legendary Afro-jazz singer Oliver Mtukudzi was a certified hitmaker with hits that got international recognition like the 1999 hit song ‘Todii’. Many were in mourning, as the untimely death of the Zimbabwean musician was announced on Wednesday 23rd January 2019. The artist passed away at Avenues Clinic in Harare at the age of 66. News of his death left many heartbroken, as they praised his musical prowess.

Bongo star Rayvanny is one of the many who paid tribute to the late singer on Instagram where he revealed that he had worked with Tuku on a new project.

In the post, Raymond Shaban aka Vanny Boy used one of Oliver’s hit songs “Neria” in the video. It is unclear if he worked on the remix of Neria with the late singer or did a new song.

Tuku is said to have died from a battle with Diabetes. He came to prominence in the 1970s as one of the voices of the revolution fighting colonial rule in Zimbabwe. He released over 60 albums during his career that spanned over 30 years.
