Kenyan female rapper Petra Yolanda Bockle popularly known as Petra drops a major hit featuring Jamaican Dancehall King Vybz Kartel.
Petra is the first African female rapper to work with the Jamaican star, and this she took to social media some months back to tease fans with her upcoming collaboration with the incarcerated singer. True to her word, she has officially released the much anticipated hit.
The release of the song dubbed ‘Turn off the Light’ has triggered excitement from both Petra’s and Vybz Kartel’s fans who are already vibing to the hit.
In an earlier interview, Petra described herself as an international rapper and said that she would not like to be compared with any local artiste because she believes she’s in her own league.
She rose to fame after she featured in the ‘Ligi Soo’ remix and she earned more publicity after a collabo with Khaligraph Jones in the song ‘Rider’. Her new song with Vybz Kartel is one of her greatest achievements in her music career and is guaranteed to attract a huge fan base globally. In the song, Vybz Kartel showers Kenyan women with praises describing them as the best.
The new collaboration news came around the same time as when Petra shared a slow-mo video while cat walking to her flashy sports car with Kartel’s music playing in the background.
Vybz Kartel reposted the video of Petra on his Instagram acknowledging her for jamming to his song. The Kenyan rapper replied to Kartel’s message honoring him as her king and for also showing love.
