POTUS Sings Happy Birthday to Malia

4th of July, America’s Independence day celebration was full of colour and jubilation as Head of State Barack Obama celebrated it with family and friends for the last time as sitting president. The annual festivities are a time for family.

According to a report by the Hollywood Reporter, each year, POTUS hosts a barbecue on Independence Day to celebrate members of the armed services and their loved ones, and for his final BBQ as president, Obama spread some cheer to his own family. The event was not shy of great performances with Janelle Monae and Kendric Lamar in attendance to entertain guest at the White House compound.

President Obama’s eldest daughter Malia turned 18 on the national holiday and to her embarrassment POTUS encouraged the crowd to sing her “Happy Birthday.” The young lady could only blush in embarrassment as Barack pointed out that it was his job to embarrass his daughters.

Malia graduated high school and will soon join her parent’s alma mater studying at Havard University in 2017. Her 18th birthday marks an exciting chapter in her life as she ushers in adulthood.
