Social media is awash with reports regarding the killing of popular Nigerian model-cum-influencer Augusta Osedion alias Austa XXO by boyfriend Benjamin Best alias Killaboi who is alleged to be on the run since committing the heinous act.
The model had reportedly gone missing for days before her mother rose to the occasion to look for her, only to find her lifeless body in his Lagos apartment. Confessing to the killing, Killaboi took to his social media, saying it was a mistake and claiming to be suicidal.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Killaboi wrote: “I got into an argument with my girlfriend and mistakenly stabbed her and ran away out of fear and been suicidal since. I want to end my life now ’cause I have lost the one I cherish so much. I want to do the right thing and turn myself in. I will gladly die by paying with my life now.”
Showing dire regret, Killaboi went on to lament with wishes that he should have left the ‘toxic’ before things haywire. “I’m not a bad person, I’m not an evil person, I’m not a criminal. I did not commit murder, nothing was intended, oh Lord I don’t know how this happened but I want to live my remaining days on earth now, knowing I did the right thing and take accountability.I will say nothing but the truth and come out clean and hope God grant me peace and accept,” Reads an excerpt from his lengthy statement.
Reckoning he had ruined his life, the 26-year-old then shared screenshots of mammoth messages he had sent Austa’s mom, apologizing for what he did.
Austa was synonymous with her lavish lifestyle that she paraded on her Instagram and was the quintessential influencer with posts about fashion, beauty and travel.
