Kenyan singer Esther Akoth alias Akothee philanthropic ways in the face of a global pandemic are commendable.
The popular celebrity recently announced via her social media handles that she would be giving out a total of Kshs 50,000 to some women in need who had reached out to her.
Madam Boss thanked Mutua for the acknowledgement and prize money which she would be distributing it to some ladies who had lost their jobs and were unable to cater for their families.
The announcement was in response to a tweet by the Kenya Film and Classification Board Chief, Ezekiel Mutua who had praised the previously controversial Akothee for changing her ways.
According to him, Akothee is the most improved artist in Kenya because her content was inspiring and as such he was giving her Kshs 50,000. Lately, the mother of two has been on the charity frontlines thanks to her Akothee Foundation working with companies such as Indomie to give out food to the less fortunate during the pandemic.
This is not the first time that the award winning flamboyant singer has stepped up using her foundation to help those in need. In 2019, during the drought crisis in various parts of the country, Akothee mobilised her teams and asked for donations to in order to provide the necessities for the affected.
