Pete Davidson is back on Instagram after a 3-year hiatus.
The Saturday Night Live comedian and actor first disappeared from the network in 2018 citing mental health struggles, and only resurfaced for a few shortlived phases before eventually going into complete obscurity. He has posted nothing yet, but his new page already bears a blue checkmark and a following.
The actor initially quit Instagram in 2018, shortly after his break up from Ariana Grande. Prior to his exit, he posted a distressing message that read, “I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore.” Ever since, his online presence has been minimalist. A few months ago, Calvin Klein tapped him and Machine Gun Kelly for their latest campaign. The two stripped down to their draws, eliciting different reactions.
Davidson has been dating Kim Kardashian since November last year, after the pair met on the set of Saturday Night Live when Kardashian hosted. The reality star’s ex-husband Kanye ‘Ye’ West started posting about the pair on Valentine’s Day, leveling digs at Davidson. Eagle-eyed fans have ironed out that Ye has followed the comedian’s new IG page, which now stands at more than 700k folowesr.
“I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye. No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health. I’m seriously disgusted,” posted Pete right before deleting his IG in 2018.
