PAM Awards cancelled for this year.
England's Mark Wood celebrates after taking the wicket of Pakistan's Zahid Mahmood

Its bad news for all the PAM awards fans because the event is a no show this year. The event that was scheduled to take place on November 7 has been scrapped due to scandals in the organisational level.

For one thing, tycoon Gordon Wavamuno has sued Pearl of Africa Music Awards (PAM) management over money issues; secondly the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has directed the event sponsors to channel their sponsorship through the URA accounts.

It appears that the Awards chairman has never paid any tax since the PAM event inception 6years ago.
It is said that last year alone, ZAIN and EABL pumped in Ush2 billion into the event. It is also said that last year’s winners were not given their prize money of Ush50 million.

It is also said that Wavamuno had a side agreement with Isaac Mulindwa to fund the event on condition that he(Mulindwa) would  refund back the money.

The Chairman Isaac Mulindwa and his group failed to account for the dime after they were asked to account for it by the sponsors.

Now every company is shunning the award.
