The next Verzuz installment is as good as here and will see two beloved RnB meteors battle it out in the ring with the characteristic good ol’ collection of 20 hits each.
Verzuz has entertained fans since its advent at the height of the global pandemic. RnB stars Omarion and Mario are set to face off each other in the popular virtual event’s next edition slated for Thursday June 23. The upcoming musical tiff will also entail a bonus tiff pitting team Ray J and Bobby V to team Pleasure P and Sammie, both duos who are the quintessential ‘00s RnB barometers.
Both Omarion and Mario took to their social accounts with elation to announce the battle: “This about to be fun! & and much needed re-education for you bots.” He also declared that “true R&B rules the soul,” Wrote Omarion.
Mario, on the other hand, shared the competition’s flyer writing: “This the cure for amnesia! My day ones already know the vibes I’m bringing!!”
Both stars have had illustrious music careers. Omarion kickstarted his career with the all-boy singing group B2K before launching his solo career in 2005 with his hit debut album, ‘O.’ The 3x Grammy-nominated record spawned a huge hit with its title track and was certfified Gold.
Mario made his debut and 2002. His sophomore album spawned one of his biggest hits, ‘Let Me Love You.’ Over the years, he has treated fans to more hits and collaborations, the latest being ‘Get Back’ with Chris Brown.
