Old tweet about a former online couple YahBoySelfie and YahGirlSelfie excites Kenyans on Twitter

The internet never forgets, Kenyans on Twitter reminisced about a former Twitter couple in a tweet that has since gone viral.

The tweet by one Jeffrey Jeff dated 26th April 2019 recently came to life. The tweet awakened old memories about a former Twitter couple with the usernames YahBoySelfie and YahGirlSelfie.

The tweet accompanied by photos of the couple read,”Back then hii couple haikua inatupea amani kwa hii TL”. “Mimi nilikuwa anaona hio couple TL napata tu depression. Kwanza hio time sikuanga na dame, monkey ilikuwa inaona maneno,” Jeff added.

The former couple who constantly dotted on each other on the social media platform were regarded as the epitome of online relationships with many dubbing them couple goals. They publicly dated circa 2012 on the short messages platform.

Following the tweet by Jeff, nostalgic Twitter users talked about how their timelines were filled with lovey-dovey messages from them, how they admired them, while some users called out others for gossiping about other people’s relationships and some even dished on the reason why they broke up. According to the many replies on the tweet, the couple had a messy break up after a fellow tweep slept with the lady whom many praised for her large derriere.

In one of the replies, a friend of the lady threatened to report the ‘fire stocking’ tweet. In another former YahGirlSelfie jokes that she and her then-boyfriend were super famous.

The man who went by the name YahBoySelfie was a Twitter bigwig amassing a huge following allegedly worked in Dubai at the time of the relationship while the beauty lived in Kenya.

Now, YahBoySelfie goes by another name on the platform while YahGirlSelfie whose real name is Sylvia Monayo moved on and was earlier this year blessed with a child by another man.
