Octopizzo Shuts It Down At His ‘Lamu Nights’ Album Listening Party

Kenyan rapper Octopizzo brought his A game to his ‘Lamu Nights’ album listening party.

The exclusive party hosted by Hennessy at the Emara at Ole Sereni on Wednesday (08.02.2023) was such a vibe.

The event brought together key players in the music industry such as producer Dillie, producer Sappy, rapper Steph Kapela, singer Mumbi Kay, former radio host Miss Ruby, publicist Anyiko Owoko, photographer Emmanuel Jambo, among many others who were treated to an exceptional live performance of the album by the rapper who hailed from Kibera.

Octopizzo was joined on stage by his album collaborators like Lisa Oduor, Wendy Kay, Costar Ojwang to showcase some of the tracks from the album. The 10 track collaborative album released in October 2022, boasts of different genres like Afro RnB and Afro soul.

Octopizzo spoke about his love for the coastal town of Lamu, wanting to put out an album that was different from his norm and breaking the barriers by exploring other music genres. He added that he was keen on putting a spotlight on emerging artists in the industry.

The popular crooner also touched on his partnership with the cognac brand saying that he was grateful for their support. One of the songs from the album ‘Eau De Vie’ was recorded at Chateau de Bagnolet located in Cognac, France.
