27-year-old Nigerian chef Hilda Bassey alias Baci has broken a new Guinness World Book of Record for the ‘longest cooking marathon by an individual.’
Having cooked for a record 88 hours straight cooking with no sleep while standing, Baci broke the record previously held by Indian chef Lata Tondo who had clocked 87 hours and 45 minutes.
Baci kicked off her cooking marathon on Thursday May 11 at 11 PM, continuously cooking hundreds of delicacies until Monday morning. Clearly one cut from a different cloth, Baci is still cooking and is only aiming to stop at the 96th hour to set a new record as the world’s first mortal to spend such a duration cooking.
She is currently receiving lots of love and support on social media with everybody rooting her on.
