Nicki Minaj is saddened by the recent floods that hit the island nation of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Trinidadian star has spoken fondly of the island, however, based on her recent posts on social media, she is shaken by the devastation. Nicki took to Instagram to comment on the recent floods that have ravaged the island of Trinidad.
Speaking about her home of Trinidad and its people, Nicki made an emotional appeal writing, “Some parts in Trinidad are ok but a large number of areas look like this and worse and people have lost everything they possess. People are now out in droves giving all the assistance they can to who needs it. In the disaster, the blessing of togetherness stands so strong at this moment here in Trinidad and Tobago everyone is lending a hand even those who have nothing left.”

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is to perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards on November.The 35-year-old rap star – who released her long-awaited fourth album ‘Queen’ earlier this year – is set to take to the stage at the annual awards bash, which is being held in Bilbao, Spain, this year.
Other big-name stars scheduled to perform at the awards show include Halsey and Spanish singer Rosalia, while Janet Jackson – who was recently announced as the recipient of the Global Icon Award – will be performing a medley of her greatest hits.
Nicki previously hosted the event when it was staged in Glasgow, Scotland, in 2014 and the chart-topping rapper’s performance is sure to be one of the highlights of the awards show on November 4. Actors Michael Pena and Diego Luna have been revealed as two of the awards presenters, with Hailee Steinfeld serving as the host of the ceremony.
Camila Cabello leads the nominations with six, while Ariana Grande and Post Malone are tied with five nominations each. Drake, Shawn Mendes, and Dua Lipa are among the other well-known artists who have been nominated.
Meanwhile, Nicki recently shared her latest collaboration “Woman” with English girl group Little Mix. Based on fans’ reactions, the track is a huge hit. The unexpected collaboration is one of the ways Nicki is increasing her influence in the European market. It still remains unknown which tracks the “Barbie Dreams” rapper will perform on the MTV EMA stage.
