27 year old Kenyan Nick Mutuma has gained success on the miniseries MTV Shuga, hosting Mashariki Mix and a short stint in the music scene. The man about town is now the lead character in Nigerian romantic comedy “This Is It”. Due to hit LowlaDeeTV starting September 13th 2016, the miniseries showcases the life of a newly wed couple. Mutuma hinted at the new project on social media, causing a frenzy on Instagram as his female followers nursed their broken hearts thinking Nick got married.

Nick plays Tomide a young man who comes to grips with life as a newly married couple and the challenges that come with it. The show hints on trivial issues like sharing space with one’s spouse as well as more serious matters like children and gender roles within a marriage. Dede played by Chiagoziem Nwakanma is a loving wife who soon realizes the struggles of marriage. Though the couple are young and clueless, the pair find their way to happiness proving that marriage truly takes work.
