Nameless Starts Petition To Have Road Named After E-Sir In South C

Legendary musician David Mathenge alias Nameless has started a petition to a road, street or drive in South C named after his late Ogopa DJs label mate Issa Mmari, popularly known E-Sir.

The petition is directed to the Nairobi County Council (NCC) and The Office of the Ombudsman to take on the deed as a way to commemorate the befallen urban music icon’s artistic talent and honor his memory.

“E-Sir’s legacy continues to inspire generations after his passing with his talent, hardwork, passion and humility. The naming of a road after him will celebrate these great values and recognize the importance of the arts in our culture,” Nameless told The Sauce.

Nameless started the petition to newly-elected Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, the Nairobi County Assembly and Transport and Roads CEC of Nairobi County.

Earlier this year, the artiste teamed up with Trio Mio, E-Sir’s brother Habib and a few other artistes on a song ‘Bandana ya Sir’ to celebrate the late artiste.
