Music Legend 2Baba Low-Key Ties The Knot Following Divorce From Annie Macaulay

African music legend Innocent Idibia better known as 2Baba, has quietly married Nigerian politician Natasha Osawaru in a private traditional ceremony, months after confirming his separation from his wife of nearly 12 years, Annie Macaulay Idibia.

The wedding, which took place at a discreet location, was first shared online on Thursday, with images circulating on X (formerly Twitter), sparking mixed reactions from fans.

As reported by The Sauce earlier this year, on January 26, 2025, the ‘African Queen’ singer confirmed his split from Annie, posting on Instagram, “Annie Macaulay and I have been separated for a while and have filed for divorce.” This announcement came just days before he proposed to Natasha on Valentine’s Eve, which stirred public speculation about their relationship.

The newlyweds were photographed in traditional attire, with 2Baba donning a typical Nigerian outfit and Natasha in a red beaded wrapper and coral beads, signaling a full Benin traditional wedding.

Natasha, a politician and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has largely kept a low profile despite previous rumors about her relationship with 2Baba.

The singer’s tumultuous marriage with Annie Idibia was in the spotlight over the years including on the Netflix reality TV series ‘Young Famous and African’. They got married in 2012 and have two children together, but in total, 2Baba has seven children with three women. Their marriage endured many ups and downs, including 2Baba’s past relationships and public controversies.
