Top influencer Murugi Munyi has announced the decision to close down her Greenhouse Mall-based store, Wild by Murugi.
In an Instagram Live session to her followers, the content creator informed fans that she intends on closing down the clothing retail business that she opened about two years ago.
Attributing the decision to being in a different space and mindset than she was when she first opened shop, she let fans know that she will close down the store officially at the end of this month. She cited several other factors in the video, among them being her current stance at being a hands-on mother and not necessarily being passionate about the business anymore.
The mother of 3, in a past interview with The Sauce at the business’ first premises had intimated that her influencing career had buoyed her into starting the business. She would later expand and make the move to Greenhouse and has been promoting it since. Eagle-eyed had however noticed that she recently had stopped mentioning the clothing line which was unusual.
Munyi maintains that the brand will still belong to her and she has no intentions of selling it, as she could in future resurface with a different line of business. She adds that she intends on looking for jobs for her 4 main employees as she closes shop.
