Mejja opens up about denying WCB Wasafi a collab

Kenyan singer Mejja has claimed that he turned down a chance to work with one of WCB members.

Speaking during a recent interview, Mejja stated that he felt disrespected in the manner he was approached.

According to Mejja, one of the Wasafi crew members sent him a message on Instagram requesting for the collabo.

However, Mejja turned down the offer stating that the Wasafi member insinuated that he would be doing him a favor by working together. A visibly irritated Mejja noted that both musicians were to benefit from the collabo but not him alone. He, however, did not reveal the WCB member in question.

The news about the possible collabo was made public by popular Kenyan media personality Willy Tuva.

“Juzi nilipigiwa simu na Tuva juu nilikataa kufanya ngoma na watu wa Wasafi…Lakini nilifeel tu kama whoever aliniapproach Instagram alikuja na aspect that ananifanyia favour,”said Mejja.

Wasafi is among the leading labels in the region with the crew members who boast of a big fan base across Africa. Wasafi WCB CEO Diamond Platnumz is amongst the top artists in Africa, with millions of streams online and accolades to boot.
