A man was found with 2lbs of gold up his bottom after “acting suspiciously” at an airport in India.

Indian Man Shaves Head to Smuggle Gold Under His Wig

The passenger had arrived on an Air Arabia flight to the city of Jaipur on Friday April 22, and officials claimed that he ‘was looking suspicious from his manners.’

The airport confirmed that “a personal search was carried out” and claimed that three transparent polyethylene capsules wrapped in white plastic were concealed up the man’s bum.

Inside the capsules were small metal granules made up of almost pure gold worth £43,000.

The official confirmed: “The 791 gram gold of 99.50 per cent purity valued at Rs 42,739,310 was extracted and was seized.”

A similar incident occurred last year, when two men were caught smuggling gold and cash worth more than £298,000 into an Indian airport concealed under wigs.
