A new Jennifer Lopez documentary is set to to grace Netflix in just a matter of weeks.

The cultural icon and Netflix just announced the documentary dubbed Halftime, that takes a peak into the legendary singer’s blockbuster music and acting careers, giving fans a peek into her most private and unseen moments, the kind that do not necessarily make the cut in her glossy interviews. With the new docu-film, Lopez, who turns 53 in July, joins an elite list of female heavyweights who have taken the reins in telling their own stories like Beyonce and Taylor Swift.
The documentary will follow Lopez as she readies up for her much raved about Superbowl Halftime Show with Shakira and reflects on her career as a global recording and movie star and Latinx creative. Even grander, the movie will be the opening night at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival on June 8.
“As the newly released art for Halftime reveals, its celebrity subject, who turns 53 in July, is looking into the future with fearless determination. While many may view Lopez’s age as a reason to slow down — or cover up and quiet down — Halftime is her chance to prove she’s only revving up to get loud(er),” Says Netflix in a statement on the film.
Halftime is directed by Amanda Micheli and will premier on Netflix on June 14.
