That is exactly the current state of things in the Twitter streets. After renowned athletes Naomi Osaka and Lebron James announced their newly-launched joint company dubbed ‘Hana Kuma,’ Kenyans went on a reaction overdrive. That, because while ‘Hana Kuma’ translates to ‘flower bear’ in Japanese, it means something entirely different in Kenyan slang, popularly known as ‘Sheng.’
Given that ‘kuma’ is the Kenyan slang word for ‘vagina,’ Kenyans cannot stop having a field day with the perky name of the athletes’ new company.
