As the country continues to mourn the passing of former president Mwai Kibaki, another close figure associated to the famous name has finally responded.
Social media influencer Sean Andrew is who. Famed for being the late president’s grandson, Andrew had not said a word since the demise of his grandfather. Nonetheless, shortly after news of Kibaki’s death hit the headlines, he changed his social media profile pictures into a black avi.
The 25-year-old has now penned a thank you message to followers, acknowledging their support messages. “I’m amazed by all the support from you all. From calls, textx, DMs…even when we meet. It is your positivity that is getting us through this and I humbly appreciate you with all my heart,” He wrote.
Kibaki passed on on April 22 and president Kenyatta announced a period of mourning after announcing his death. His burial is slated for Friday, April 30.
