Kenyans in the diaspora are joining hands with those back at home in rejecting the controversial finance bill 2024.
In their bid to show their patriotism and support for Kenyans back at home, Kenyans in different cities in the US and UK have organized protests slated for today.
Former Miss Universe – Kenya Rachel Mbuki has masterminded the Los Angeles protest, slated for Sunday, June 23, at the Kenyan Consulate in LA. “Dress Code: Kenyan flag tops/ t-shirts. Bottoms- your choice. Kenyan T- shirts can be bought on Amazon prime for 1-2 day shipping. Energy: High!” Advised Mbuki. She will spearhead the protest backed by, among other influential Kenyans, popular content creator and nurse, Nurse Judy.

Meanwhile, Kenyans in Washington, DC will stage their protest at the Kenyan Embassy at 1: 00 PM on Sunday.
Further, Kenyans in the UK will meet up at Hanley Park at 12 PM while those in Dallas will converge at Dallas City Hall.
The demonstrations against the punitive finance bill have gained notoriety the world over in the past week, all thanks to online uproar. Historically, the protests have been spearheaded by a young demographic (Gen Z) who will not take anything lying down. A second wave of demonstrations in Nairobi and other towns are set to happen next week.
