Following the killings of Benson Njiru Ndwiga and Emmanuel Mutura Ndwiga in Embu as well as the unfortunate murders of brothers Fredrick Mureithi and Victor Mwangi and two of their friends, all four of whom were lynched in Kitengela, it has been a rather dull couple of days in the country.
The Kianjokoma brothers Njiru and Mutura were laid to rest on Friday 13th August 2021 in the same grave. The murder of these two young men at the hands of the police shook the entire country.
The country was dealt another blow after the murders of four young men in Kitengela.
According to the latter case’s families, the four young men left Syokimau for Kitengela to attend a birthday party, only to meet death on their way. It is reported that the motorcycle-bound foursome had to stop when of the motorcycles broke down, and it is then that they were ambushed by herdsmen and beaten to death, on accusations of being cattle rustlers with plots of stealing livestock from the said villagers.
It is the reported that their identification documents were also destroyed. Post mortem results show that they suffered both sharp and blunt object injuries on their bodies .
Cries for justice have since taken over as people try to wrap their minds around the killings.
