‘AREA 7′ is Nem R’s debut large body of work. It is the 7th of the AREA series by singer-songwriter and rapper Nem R. AREA is an EP series which she releases three times every year since May 2022 and each ‘AREA’ has 3 songs. So far Nem R has released 6 ‘AREAS’.
As for ‘AREA 7’, she decided it should be a mixtape containing 25 songs. This is because ‘AREA 7’ signifies a major spiritual and artistic step in her journey as an independent artist. She is set to take the stage now as she transitions into the next phase of her art.
The mixtape has themes of love, war, pain, healing and transformation. She has featured 7 artists on the album including the legendary Kitu Sewer, Brima Maovete, HR The Messenger, Bobby Dash, Snaidah Don Dada, Miz Korona and Kayla Briett.
The producers in the project include Wale Matwins, Young Gideon, Alex Vice, Kunta Official Beats, and Hidden Vibes.
The 25-song mixtape has music of various genres like afrohouse, hiphop, RnB, reggae and soul.
