Kenyan gospel artist Moji ShortBabaa and his wife Nyawira Gachugi have announced that they are expecting their firstborn.
The celebrity couple shared the good news on social media, accompanied by a heartfelt video captioned: “The blessings of God are amazing, they serve as a reminder that He is concerned about what we pray for, even the prayers made in silence. We are so honored to be trusted by God to carry this blessing. Tumekubali Yesu unatujali.”
The announcement has sparked a wave of love and congratulations from celebrities, fellow gospel artists, and fans across Kenya, all celebrating this blessing with the beloved couple.
In a past interview on Radio 47, Moji ShortBabaa addressed the public curiosity about being childless for four years since their wedding in 2021. He emphasized that while fans and outsiders might be quick to judge or speculate, those closest to him have shown love, patience, and understanding.
“We haven’t decided [to postpone], but you know, a child is a blessing from God. Whether you plan it or not, when their time comes, they’ll just come.”
The two tied the knot in May 2021 at the luxurious Sovereign Suites, in an intimate wedding attended by only their immediate family and close friends.
