Kenyan on Twitter David Kyalo Musyoka may have just rilled up the internet and for all the wrong reasons.
Musyoka took to social media in the wee hours of Sunday May 3rd to praise the 45th President of America, Donald John Trump for his leadership. Responding to a previous tweet by Trump, he went on to say that ” Trump has done more for blacks than all other presidents combined,” to which Trump later responded, ” Abe wasn’t too bad either.”
But what self-proclaimed Kenyan patriot David Kyalo Musyoka may have not gathered, is the uproar such a statement would illicit. His special message caught the attention of the Commander-in-Chief and went on to anger thousands on Twitter. It seems he just forgot how President Trump lumped Kenya in a list of nations he so eloquently dubbed ‘shithole countries’ during a closed-door meeting with congressional leaders and Cabinet members in January 2018. Perhaps he also swept under the rug Trump’s continual perpetuation of racial division amongst Americans?
Nonetheless, tweeps were quick to remind him that his statements were completely off the mark.
Keyboard warriors went online to shoot down Musyoka’s claims, citing several incidents that would prove Trump to be anything but a great leader. With many questioning Musyoka’s ignorance and his lack of knowledge, tweeps did not hold back. One pointed out, “Lincoln freed us from slavery. Kennedy gave us rights. What the hell has Trump done?”
Aside from receiving a tirade of insults, Musyoka also gained some support from the right-wing Republicans who are notoriously known for their unwavering support for the reality star turned president.
He went on to cap off his support for Pres. Trump with a personal thank you note. Addressing the real estate mogul he tweeted, ” I pray for you as you diligently serve! You are doing a FANTASTIC job. He went on to add, “May GOD grant you Wisdom beyond your own understanding and the Courage to always choose the right path no matter how narrow the gate! GOD Bless you Man of Courage, Man of Valour.”
Needless to say, at this moment the Twitterverse may have branded David as a troll, even going to the extent of revoking his ‘right to refer to himself as African’. It is difficult to tell if his aim was to get the internet to acknowledge Trump’s achievements or lack thereof or just get Pres. Trump’s attention. Nonetheless, David Kyalo Musyoka got his 5 minutes of fame.
President Trump is currently on a the quest to retain his position as the President of the United States of America. Prior to the nationwide lockdown, Trump was on the campaign trail ahead America’s 2020 Presidential elections slated for later this year.
