US-based Kenyan content creator Yvonne Mugure has Kenyans in a haze after sentimentally sharing a clip of herself depositing a Ksh. 90 million at a local bank.
Attributing she got the money after “closing a deal,” the creator shared that she deposited the cheque as one of her first steps to acquiring a house in Kenya as she had fallen in love with the country. She noted she runs multiple businesses in the United States but was hellbent in moving her primarily, but would be shuttling back and forth for business purposes.
Sharing that she had spent a whopping Ksh. 619, 635 on just one day and for only 7 things, Mugure shared: “I want to really invest here, for myself and for my family. I also plan on this being my primary home.” She showed a sample house inspiration, imploring her followers to share the video, “cause I need all the help I can get to finding a house like this here in Kenya and give me suggestions of where you think I’d find this.”
Internet users were taken aback by the demonstrated sheer affluence, especially at a time when many decry harsh economic times.
