Kenya Tourism Board Partners With Africa Global PR Week 2026 To Spotlight “Magical Kenya”

The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) has been confirmed as the Lead Destination Partner for the upcoming Africa Global PR Week (AGPRW) 2026, scheduled to take place in Nairobi from 26–28 August 2026.

The partnership positions Kenya at the center of Africa’s premier communications summit, offering a continental platform to showcase the nation’s tourism assets to more than 1,000 delegates physically and Online.

This year’s theme, “Redefining Africa: Africa as a Brand,” will spotlight nation branding initiatives and explore how African professionals, PR managers, government officials, and academics can take charge of the continent’s narratives. The summit will emphasize authentic and creative storytelling as a tool to shape Africa’s future image globally.

As part of the collaboration, KTB will co‑host the Destination Pavilion, curating immersive cultural showcases and tourism experiences under the “Magical Kenya” brand. Delegates will be invited to explore Kenya’s diverse offerings through curated pre‑ and post‑event packages, including the Great Wildebeest Migration, Nairobi city tours, and cultural circuits designed to extend visitor stays and boost the local economy.

“We are thrilled to partner with Africa Global PR Week 2026. This collaboration underscores the critical role PR practitioners play as storytellers in showcasing Kenya as a leading tourism destination. Their expertise is invaluable in designing compelling narratives that highlight our diverse attractions. Furthermore, this partnership provides an excellent platform to emphasize the growing importance of MICE tourism, which is pivotal in diversifying our destination’s offering and attracting a new segment of visitors to experience wonder,” said Ms. June Chepkemei, the Chief Executive Officer, the Kenya Tourism Board.

AGPRW 2026 will convene delegates from 20+ African countries alongside global partners, delivering a program that blends thought leadership, cultural showcases, and student innovation through the Africa University PR Challenge. The summit promises to deliver both intellectual exchange and cultural immersion.

“This partnership with KTB ensures that Africa Global PR Week 2026 is not only a summit of ideas, but also a celebration of Kenya’s tourism excellence and Africa’s collective narrative,” said Mary Njoki, Chair of AGPRW.

Together, KTB and AGPRW will amplify Kenya’s story as host nation while advancing the broader mission of redefining Africa’s image globally.
