Pop superstar Katy Perry is the latest music sensation to headline a Las Vegas residency, and she is doing what Katy Perry does best; pull all the stops!
The Teenage Dream singer kicked of her residency at the Resorts World Theatre in Las ‘Sin City’ Vegas on December 29 and will run through to mid January before returning with all-new shows in March. The show, in quintessential Katy Perry aesthetic, entails a larger-than-life stage production.

From a mammoth bathtub, to a colossal face mask that is Perry’s ode to the 2 years of a pandemic, she has outdone herself yet again as regards going all whimsical and sentimental in stage performances.
The show’s setlist is also well crafted, ranging from her biggest hits ranging from Dark Horse and California Gurls to her earlier smashes like I Kissed a Girl. She also features a cover of Whitney Houston’s The Greatest Love of All. The E.T crooner calls the residency Perry Playland and is full-on spectacle in the outfit she dons to all the dramatics akin to Perry. Las Vegas residencies are concerts held in one venue where a legendary musician albeit with an extensive discography is the resident headliner. Artistes like Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Usher have had resiencies at different venues in Las Vegas.
This is Perry’s maiden residency.
