Kagwe Mungai and Mr. Seed team up for a special gospel track “Ogopa Mungu”

Kagwe Mungai has made a surprise track, that has many wondering the next step for this creative artist.

Kagwe Mungai has made a reputation for himself as a ladies man, singing mostly about love and relationships. But now it seems the ” African Lady” crooner is keen to shed that impression and take on a new identity. Coupling up with Mr. Seed, Mungai has dropped a new track titled “Ogopa Mungu.” Taking to social media, Mr. Seed shared his recent collaboration with the Circoc Brand Ambassador Kagwe Mungai.

Released on YouTube on April 26th, the track is part of Mungai’s debut album “Spectrum” set for release on May 4th, 2019.  Kagwe Mungai put his best foot forward in this release, not only writing and performing it but also producing the track. The track was mixed and mastered by Kevin Provoke, and more significantly features the starborn Mr. Seed offering some heavily inspirational rhymes. The track is a great marriage of harmonies and melodies provided by the Redforth Choir.

As the lyrics flash across the screen, a montage of Kenyans smiling in the black and white video tie together the gravity of the lyrics. Mr. Seed does well to carry the message of the gospel, and it is clear that Kagwe’s creativity is not only limited to singing about worldly things, as he tackles more serious matters in this track. The old-time praise track ‘Wa Milele wa milele Mungu wa Baraka ni nani?’ brings the track full circle; it is an expression of gratitude.

If this track is any indication of what Kagwe has in store for fans, we’re in for a treat.
