JKUAT student wins African Water Expo logo design competition

A 4th year Bachelor of Business Information Technology student at JKUAT Karen campus is the winner of a logo design competition organized by the African Water Association (AfWA).

Martin Achar has been awarded Sh100,000 by the Local Organizing Committee of the 18th AfWA Congress & Exhibition that will be held in 2016 in Nairobi. This event is a biannual event and the four days international event which will host over 1500 delegates.

The LOC closed submissions on January 31st 2015 with 428 submissions, of which a couple of them were repetitions/improvements of initial submissions. Out of these, the LOC narrowed down to 20 designs, then to 6 best and finally to 3 best designs.

2nd runner-up was Jacob Mwenda who took home Sh50,000 while Edwin Moracha came won Sh20,000 for third position.
