Jennifer Lopez is on the cover of Rolling Stones Icons and Influences issue looking younger than ever.
The superstar, 52, graces the magazine in a black Balmain boysuit with a plunging neckline and a bob ’do, just in time for the release of her latest movie Marry Me, which she executive produced through her Nuyorican Productions imprint and whose soundtrack she also masterminded.
In the cover feature, the singer, dancer and movie star speaks on her Hollywood ascent and how she had to flout all the rules to get to the top saying, “I just said, f*ck it!” She further says that Hollywood has not always welcomed her in. “I’m an underdog. I always feel like I was scrapping from the bottom. Always. That’s part of being Puerto Rican and from the Bronx and a woman,” she says.
Lopez also briefs opens up on her new beau Ben Affleck saying and their rekindled romance saying, “I won’t talk about it. We’ve both grown. We’re the same, and we’re different. And that’s what’s nice. Having a second chance at real love…yeah. Like I said, we learned a lot. We know what’s real, what’s not real.”
The triple-threat star is promoting her latest movie, Marry Me, which premieres on February 11. The movie was long delayed by the pandemic but it is here this Valentine’s weekend, in the theatres and on Peacock. J.Lo stars in the movie playing the character of Kat Valdez that is pretty much a J.Lo replica trying to negotiate a love life while grappling with the intricacies of a mega career and uber fame.
She has other upcoming movie roles: playing a bride in Shotgun Wedding and an assassin on The Mother, all due later this year.
