In an October 3, 2012 interview with Bloomberg Television, Bright.com CEO Steve Goodman said that while moms used to tell their kids to be doctors and lawyers, these days they should be telling their kids to be Web developers. In Kenya, the ICT is growing at a rapid rate, requiring skilled labour in the growth process. According to a 2011 Kenya ICT Board survey, demand for qualified and competent ICT staff is outstripping the supply in the market, forcing companies to look outside the region for highly skilled IT professionals.
