Popular content creator Eli Mwenda is taking an indefinite social media break. This is after he recently underwent surgery to repair a gash on his face caused by an altercation at a popular event.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Eli said he was attacked on Sunday night while leaving an event, and that the attack resulted in his face being “sliced open.”
“I have had to have surgery to avoid any permanent scaring. It has impacted my work schedule meaning I’ll be unable to shoot content until my face fully heals…I shall be taking a short social media break as I focus on my health and mental well-being. I look forward to getting back to what I love doing, creating content for you,” posted Eli.

“Although I forgive him wholeheartedly on a personal level. I have still followed all official channels to prevent this from happening to anyone else,” he added.
The Mantalk podcast co-host was attacked at the Blankets and Festival held at the Moi Sports Center, Kasarani. According to the word on the streets of Twitter, he was allegedly assaulted by popular artist Charisma. On the other hand, Eli was accused of trying to get with other reveler’s girlfriends at the event.
Eli was recently on the receiving end of backlash for working with a popular cab-hailing company whose customers have raised concerns over their safety when using their services.
