Grammy-winning music superstar Mary J. Blige is not looking to sire kids, and she is not afraid to admit it either.

During one of her recent press runs to promote her latest album, Good Morning Gorgeous, and fresh off her Superbowl performance, the Family Affair singer admitted to not wanting kids, and gave reasons behind her decision, citing her schedule and penchant for freedom as reasons. The Power actor said she likes to move “how she wants to move” without “tending to someone all the time.”
“I have nieces and nephews forever and I’m always watching how people are scrambling for baby-sitters. I don’t want to go through that. I like my freedom to go and move and do what I want to do. I don’t want to have to tend to someone all the time. Right now that’s where I’m at. But, I don’t think it’s gonna happen,” added Mary.
Before her divorce in 2016, Blige was a stepmom to her ex-husband Kendu Isaacs’ three children.
