Bongo superstar Diamond Platnumz has hit a huge musical milestone.

Diamond whose real name is Naseeb Abdul, has made history in East Africa after his ‘Waah’ video amassed 100 million views on YouTube over a year since its release.

‘Waah’ which features Congolese rhumba maestro Koffi Olomide, was released on November 30, 2020.

Diamond’s music has been critically acclaimed on many platforms and he seems to have hit the jackpot by collaborating with top Congolese artists as well as broadening his musical market.

His hit ‘Yope Remix‘ ft Congolese star Innoss’B has so far been viewed 178 Million times, ‘Inama’ ft Congolese superstar has been viewed 104 million times on the video streaming platform, YouTube.

The song also set a record in African music after reaching 1 million viewers in just 8 hours and thus surpassing the record of Davido whose ‘Fem’ video was viewed 1 million times within 9 hours.

The WCB honcho is the leading artist in sub-Saharan Africa with 6 million followers on his YouTube account and he has been viewed 1.6 billion times. He also boasts of 14 million followers on Instagram.
