Ghanaian artiste Black Sherif’s song Kwaku the Traveler is the world’s most Shazamed song.
The 20-year-old’s global hit has taken over TikTok and other social media with countless videos by influencers who seemingly cannot get enough of the catchy song. Thanks to the popularity, the song has amassed 487,760 Shazams, making it the most streamed song on the platform, easily beating songs by big stars like Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles and Demi Lovato.
The audio to Kwaku the Traveler has racked up a record up a record 900 million YouTube views while the audio has over a million views. The smash has gone on to top charts in Sherif’s Ghana native, Nigeria and Gambia. On Apple Music, the song stands at #73 and it is also second most streamed HipHop song on Audiomack.
Sherif narrates his meteoric rise to fame in the alluring record which was released on March 30. True to its current winning straek, the song was played at the American Airlines Centre in Dallas, Texas, during a pregame warm-up by NBA team Dallas Mavericks.
