New mom and actor Tyler Kamau’s baby mama Georgina Njenga is not here for people who took issue with her stepping out once in a while, just because she is a mom.
The mother of one took to her Instagram stories to call out mom-shares with a full-on rant, saying: “Asking a mom where she left her baby when she’s trying to have fun is mom-shaming since y’all try to create mom-guilt in us. Apart from holding the title mom, we have a lot of other things to offer. My first 3 months of being a mom I really did overwork myself, I had no nanny because I felt like I would be a lazy mom. I did everything by myself because I was so scared of even trusting anyone with her,” She wrote.
She further adds that she lost herself, fell into postpartum depression and underwent different struggles, among them blaming her baby’s father. She proceeds to call out the existent double standard, alluding to the fact that Mboya never receives the same criticism. “It’s crazy that her dad never gets the same questions when he’s out with his friends,” She mentions.
“I’m still a girl trying to achieve her dreams in her 20’s and I’m still trying going to live them in every opportunity that I get. If you are a young mom going through the same, don’t let anyone make you feel bad for being you. Yes, we hold the title mom but that is not all that we are,” She advised.
Georgina and Mboya welcomed their daughter in May last year.
