Former Citizen TV prime time news anchor Hussein Mohamed has been appointed the Head of Communications in Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential campaign.
“Hussein Mohammed, renowned TV journalist, has been appointed Head of Communications in the William Ruto Presidential Campaign. Welcome to the Hustler team,” reads the announcement on Ruto’s Twitter account. He was ushered into the presidential hopeful’s camp at Ruto’s Karen residence.
The eloquent anchor has kept a low profile since his departure from TV, although it is said he has since been consultancy for NGOs since his 2019 exit from Citizen TV.
Kenyans have taken to Twitter with an array of mixed reactions following the announcement.
