Eldoret police disperse youths protesting in support of Murkomen’s re-appointment

NAKURU, Kenya, Jul 17 – Police in Eldoret have dispersed a group of youths protesting in support of the re-appointment of former Roads Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen to cabinet.

The youths who were carrying placards in support of Murkomen along Kisumu road heading to the town CBD were stopped near brookside dairy.

According to one of the leaders of the demonstration, they were fully in support of Murkomen’s re-appointment to the cabinet.

“We urged the president to re-appoint Murkomen back to the cabinet because he had done a good job,” he stated.

The youth supported the president over his claim that the countrywide youth protests had been sponsered by some international NGOs including Ford Foundation

After a few speeches by some of the youth leaders the group dispersed before entering the town.
