A day after his emotional tribute that had social media abuzz, Jahmby Koikai’s dad has passed on. This comes in the wake of Jahmby’s burial ceremony at Lang’ata Cemetery on Thursday, June 14.
Earlier reports had noted his absence at his daughter’s funeral, as he had only sent a friend to read his tribute. Details regarding the cause of his death are hitherto scanty, but reports indicate his body was found lying in his house as the funeral ceremony of his late daughter was ongoing.
“Dear Njambi my daughter, the time has come for me to atone for my acts of omission or commission on your final journey from this world it has been one of the most difficult episodes in my life, especially for your close family members – your mother, sister aunts, uncles and colleagues in the media and friends in and out of the country.” He eulogized her during a church service that preceded today’s burial ceremony.
