Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first person to reach 400 million Instagram followers.
Ronaldo has reached a huge milestone after returning to Manchester united five months ago and despite following just 500 people, Ronaldo has averaged 10 million likes for each of his posts.
His following has grown by nearly double since September 2021 – when he had 237 million.
Celebrity Kylie Jenner is second in the list of most-followed Instagram people as she boasts 308 million and she is followed closely by Ronaldo’s long-time rival Lionel Messi – who has 306 million.
The couple has continued to gain more popularity since the release of the Netflix documentary ‘I Am Georgina’ released on the 27th of January 2022 which sheds light on the life of Cristiano’s baby mama, Georgina Rodriguez.

Meanwhile, earlier this week Ronaldo celebrated his 37th birthday by sharing a snap alongside his partner Georgina.
Speaking on Instagram, he said: “Life is a roller coaster. Hard work, high speed, urgent goals, demanding expectations. But in the end, it all comes down to family, love, honesty, friendship, values that make it all worth it. Thanks for all the messages! 37 and counting!”
This new fete is one of the many accolades that the Portugal-born star can boast of. Ronaldo has won five Ballon d’Or awards and four European Golden Shoes, the most by a European player. He has won 32 trophies in his career, including seven league titles, five UEFA Champions Leagues, one UEFA European Championship, and one UEFA Nations League.
