Content Creation Tips By Esther Kazungu

Popular Kenyan content creator and digital activist Esther Kazungu has mastered the art of making content online.

Her journey began back in 2016 and has worked on her craft to become one of the most notable content creators in Kenya. Her work has earned her over 60,000 followers on Instagram.

The 28-year-old internet sensation spoke to The Sauce about her career and shared the lessons she has learnt about content creation so far.

Start with what you have

Young content creators who just start making and posting their content using whatever resources they have, a phone will do good work and one can grow from there. According to Esther, she started out filming her skits on her phone and now she has managed to buy better equipment.

Work on your art

Esther advised that content creators should constantly work on their craft because their hard work will show. Content creators should make it their mission to continually learn and grow in order to give their audiences the best content.

Rejuvenate

The soft spoken personality also spoke about the importance of rest for content creators. She insisted that rest is vital to being able to give good outputs saying that a content creator cannot pour from an empty cup, they need to fuel their creativity and take care of themselves. She suggested doing things like bike riding, hanging out with friends or travelling to upcountry like she does every so often order to unwind.

Enjoy yourself

Esther’s last bit of advice to her fellow creatives is to enjoy themselves while they work. To put out their work not because it will gain a lot of views but because they love the work that they are presenting to the world.

During the interview, this talented lass admitted that her favorite social media platform is Instagram and she loves content creation because she gets to express herself.

Esther who married the love of her life James Kibunjah in 2021, has a degree in Linguistics, Media and Communications from Moi University.
