Mega creatives Rihanna and Childish Gambino are set to bless the Coachella audience with the airing of their movie. But they have not forgotten about everyone else unable to attend the desert festival.
The talented duo who were reported to be working together on the passion project from last September is set to stream the highly anticipated movie on YouTube apart from airing it live on the Coachella stage. Gambino who was announced among the top acts to grace the Coachella stage will be performing alongside Diplo, Anderson Paak and Janae Monae set to begin on Friday 14th, 2019. A sneak peek of the collaboration project that made it’s way online reveals the film is a life commentary set in beautiful Cuba.

According to Vulture, Donald Glover, under his soon-to-be-retired moniker Childish Gambino, will premiere his mysterious new film ‘Guava Island’, co-starring Rihanna, during YouTube’s Coachella stream for onetime only according to a press release. The film has few concrete details including the fact that Fenty Beauty proprietor Rihanna is starring alongside Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie.
Using YouTube to share their film is a strategic move that could have the production of millions across the globe. For the ninth year in a row, YouTube reports it is set to take the magic of Coachella beyond the Indio desert and into the homes and phones of millions of people around the world with the exclusive two-weekend live stream of Coachella 2019.
YouTube is set to live stream performances from headliners to some of the biggest artists on the rise, including Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande, Tame Impala, Kacey Musgraves, Billie Eilish. Taking things a notch higher, the video sharing platform is also set to share behind the scenes curated content via the first-ever Weekend 2 Coachella Curated Live Stream. The YouTube music app is also set to make available a Coachella-based playlist for users.
