NAIROBI, Kenya, July 26 – Chicken Cottage has opened a new branch in Kasarani, Nairobi, marking its eighth outlet in the country and the 16th store operated by Express Kitchen Ltd.
The new branch, located at a Hass Petroleum station along Kasarani-Mwiki Road, is expected to serve over 800,000 residents in the area, particularly families and young professionals seeking quick-service meals.
The expansion comes amid growing demand for fast food in Nairobi’s suburbs and forms part of Express Kitchen’s broader plan to open 60 stores across Kenya. The company also operates outlets under the Papa John’s Pizza brand.
The opening in Kasarani is the second Chicken Cottage branch situated at a Hass Petroleum station, following a similar launch in Narok last year. Hass operates 38 retail stations in Kenya and over 150 across Africa.
With nearly 200 Kenyans employed across its Nairobi and Narok outlets, Express Kitchen says it plans to expand its workforce further as new branches open. The Kasarani outlet will also offer delivery services through Glovo, Uber Eats, and Bolt Food.
