Cedric Kadenyi, popularly known as Cedo, is anything but average.
With music producer, music director, composer, sound engineer, performer and strategist as just some of the titles that describe him, he is all that and then some. A lawyer by profession, he took on the ‘unconventional’ creative path out of sheer love for it, the entertainer has been on a rise since.
“I’m many things, hence I find dodgy to describe myself as just one thing. I cannot be put in a box. I’m a multi-hyphenate,” He says of himself, and rightfully so. Not only has he produced for all the Kenyan and African bigwigs, his clientele boasts of reputable corporations and organizations.
Cedo’s new album just dropped. The body of work is way more than just a studio project, it suffices to say. The 15-track was orchestrated and curated at the height of the pandemic. Cedo jestfully ‘Ceduction’ as his COVID baby. “The album has been two years in the making. One year doing the organizational work that entailed meetings, signing contracts, traversing borders..the works! Then there was the recording part. Two years worth of a labor of love that eventually birthed aa project that I take lots of pride in.
The album, which Cedo solely produced, features an array of just about everybody – there’s a record 21 featured artistes. They include heavyweights like his friend and business partner Naiboi, Khaligraph, Trio Mio, Nyashinski, Tanzania’s Maua Sama and Uganda’s Lydia Jasmine.
“My vision for the album is that it provide entertainment value and is a soundtrack for people’s lives,” Cedo rockens.
‘Ceduction’ is available on all streaming platforms.
