Media Personality Carol Radull has given a heartwarming update on the health and recovery of boxer Conjestina Achieng’.
Taking to social media, Radull told fans that after eight months at the Mombasa Women Empowerment Network Hospital in Miritini, Conje is looking good and is well on her way to full recovery.
“Eight months in the centre in Mombasa and my girl Conjestina Achieng looks so good! And work in a gym awaits her upon completion where she will be training young boxers,” posted Radull.
According to the popular Sports journalist, the acclaimed boxer has a job at a gym waiting for her following her recovery where she will be training young boxers.
Following her meteoric rise as one of Kenya’s greatest female boxers, Conje’s life changed due to her declining mental health which saw her get admitted at the Mathari Mental Hospital at one point.
Conje’s troubled life touched the hearts of several well-wishers including former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko who came to the rescue of the ailing boxer and checked her into the facility in Mombasa.
Radull thanked Conjestina’s son Charltone Otieno for allowing her to share his mother’s progress on her social media platforms.
