Capital FM mix master DJ Tumz also known to fans as the Rock Doctor is on top.
The deejay known for his prowess on the decks was celebrated by Mixcloud after the success of his recent mix. The platform noted that the mix, was the first in the global Classic Rock charts.
The mix which was live streamed via Capital FM’s Facebook page saw more than 20,000 views, with fans tuning in from across the world. Aside from topping the Classic Rock charts, the mix also placed 9th in the global Indie Rock Charts, and 12th in the global Rock Charts.
Deejay Tumz, is respected as one of the few deejays who has mastered the art of the perfect mix in the Rock music genre. A local champion for the niche genre of music, he continues to preach that music is a unifying force.
In an interview with CNN’s Inside Story, The Rock Doctor previously noted rock music is indeed important for the music scene in Kenya as a whole. He pointed out, “Just the coming together and the shows is where you find people from different areas, different social classes mixing as one. It’s a beautiful thing.”
