MOMBASA, Kenya, Aug 18 – Bolt has expanded its Bolt Send delivery service in Mombasa to include motorbikes, offering individuals and businesses a faster and more flexible way to move small parcels across the city.

Bolt Send, which was introduced in Mombasa in March using cars, is targeted at small retailers, online sellers, restaurants, pharmacies, offices and individuals seeking a convenient way to deliver parcels.

The company said the addition of motorcycles is aimed at addressing the growing demand for urban deliveries, particularly for smaller parcels that do not require a car but need to move quickly and affordably through the city.

β€œDelivery has become an increasingly important part of how businesses serve their customers. For a small business, a delayed delivery can mean a delayed sale, a missed customer or an unnecessary operating cost,” Dimmy Kanyankole, Senior General Manager, Rides, East Africa, said.

β€œWith Bolt Send on motorbikes, we are making it easier to move smaller parcels around Mombasa using infrastructure that people already know and use.”

Customers can request Bolt Send directly through the Bolt app, receive an upfront price estimate and track their deliveries in real time.

Parcels are transported by eligible Bolt driver-partners, giving businesses an accessible delivery option without requiring them to maintain their own delivery operations.
